About the Artist
Christopher Edmonstone is a Vancouver-based photographer who has spent over 15 years immersed in the energy and emotion of live music and events. Known for his ability to capture the spirit of performance with authenticity and artistry, Christopher has become a trusted presence in the local and national concert scene. His work goes beyond documentation — it tells the story of each moment with clarity, heart, and style.
While the pandemic brought much of the live entertainment world to a halt, Christopher’s passion for visual storytelling never wavered. During the early stages of lockdown, he turned the camera on himself in the humorous and imaginative photo series Me, Myself and I, and explored the intersection of fantasy and reality by merging STAR WARS imagery with the quiet beauty of an emptied Vancouver. Most notably, he created #ArtistAtHome, an ambitious portrait series featuring over 135 Vancouver-based creatives in their personal spaces — a one-of-a-kind tribute to the city’s artistic community.
Christopher’s diverse client list reflects the broad reach of his work across the arts, entertainment, and corporate sectors. He has collaborated with Vancouver JUNO Host Committee, SOCAN, Ballet BC, Red Truck Brewing, Steamwhistle Brewing, Music Heals Canada, Secret Study, Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel, Allocadia, Dagmar Guitars, and the Ponderosa Festival. His work has also supported numerous civic and community organizations, including the West End and Ambleside-Dundarave Business Improvement Associations, the Districts of North and West Vancouver, the Harmony Arts Festival, and the District of North Vancouver Firefighter Charitable Society.
His photography has earned recognition such as the People's Choice Award at the 2013 Capture Photography Festival and has been featured in citywide campaigns.
Originally from St. Catharines, Ontario, Christopher now calls Vancouver home, where he continues to create meaningful, visually striking images for artists, brands, and audiences alike.
